Monday July 21, 2008 at 1:30 a.m. West Grey Police attended to the Knappville Road in Bentinck Twp to a report of a vehicle collsion. The home owner reported that a vehicle had hit her parked car. The caller advised that she was awakened by a loud crashing sound, when she went to investigate she found her dishes from her kitchen all over the floor and drawers open. On checking outside she found her car had been pushed into the front of her home. The other vehicle had fled the scene. Police located car parts from the other vehicle and trail of oil on the road in a east direction from the home. At 7:15 a.m. this morning a 19 year old West Grey man was charged with Failing to remain at the scene of a collision. No one was injured however both vehicles and the home received extensive damage.

West Grey Police are investigating a break and enter to a Farm dealership in Normanby Twp just North of Mount Forest. A male suspect smashed a northside door window to gain entry, once inside he attempted to cut a cable that locked the display of chain saws, he was unsuccesful in doing so. He then used his truck and a chain and pulled the cable off the display. Two chain saws and a cut saw where removed. All three are of a Stihl brand name and are orange and white. Total estimate of property taken is $3000.00. The break and enter was caught on tape.
