August 22, 2008 West Grey Police investigated the theft on a Remington electric chain saw and a Yardworks electric leaf blower with a combined value of $275.00. The equipment had been stored in a shed at the back of the residence on Albert St. in the former Town of Durham.

August 21, 2008 West Grey Police investigated the theft of a rod iron lawn ornament from a Elmwood address. The description is a black rod iron frame with a white star in the centre and a sign with the words Elmwood Starz Studio, it stands 4 feet tall. If anyone has any information on the whereabouts of this sign they are asked to contact the West Grey Police or Crime stoppers.
This is one of many reported thefts of lawn ornaments within Elmwood in the past several weeks. Police would like to ask the public for their assistance in solving these crimes.
