Saturday September 20, 2008 at 7:46 a.m. West Grey Police where contacted and advised that a 17 year old Hanover youth had gone missing from a residence in the area of Grey Road 3 and 4 Bentinck Twp. The youth had left the residence around 1:30 a.m. in an intoxicated condition and had not been seen since. West Grey Police, West Grey Fire, Hanover Fire Service and volunteers formed a search team. The team started the search of fields and bush along Grey Road 4 towards Hanover. A short time later Police were informed that the youth had been located just on the east limits of Hanover. The youth required no medical attention and was turned over to his mother.

A 42 year old Durham woman was arrested and charged on September 19, 2008 after shoplifting alcohol from the Durham LCBO store. Staff observed the female place a bottle of Vodka in her purse and then purchase a second bottle of Vodka. After paying for the one bottle and questioned by staff about the bottle in her purse, she left the store. The female was located at her home and arrested. She will appear in a Walkerton court

Sunday September 21, 2008 West Grey Police investigated the theft of several items from a unlocked shed on a Bentinck Twp property. Sometime between Friday and Sunday person(s) unknown entered the shed and removed a 2006 Bombardier ATV value of this unit is $10,000.00, a set of golf clubs, Ryobi cordless drill and various hand tools. Police are still investigating.
