On November 30, 2008 a Neustadt business reported the theft of currency which included a large quantity of silver dollars, 50 cent coins, 25 cent coins, $100 dollar bills issued in 1954, $20 dollar bills issued in 1954, 1 dollar bills issued in 1967, $5 bills issued in 1954, 10 cent coins issued in or before 1967 and $2 bills issued prior to 1980. Details
Sometime early last week a number of units at the Mount Foest Mini Storage located on Hwy 6 at the north end of Mount Forest were entered. A number of items were taken from these storage units which include but are not limited to a Blue Point cordless screw driver, Black and Decker belt sander, Ryobi drills, Makita saw and drill, grandfather clock, green arm chair, navy coloured Lazy Boy chair, Christmas decorations, etc. Anyone with information is asked to contact the West Grey Police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.

A 30 year old Walkerton woman and her 40 year old passenger both sustained minor injuries when the vehicle they were operating left the road and rolled over on Allan Park Road just south of Concession 2 NDR. The driver had to be extricated from the vehicle by members of the West Grey Fire Service.

West Grey Police and members of the Grey County OPP Detachment kicked off their Festive Season RIDE this past week. In all approximately 300 vehicles were checked which resulted in one roadside test being conducted. Police will increase their level of RIDE programs throughout the Christmas/New Year season.
