West Grey Police along with the OPP conducted a RIDE check on Garafraxa ST. S in the Town of Durham. Officer’s observed a vehicle approaching the RIDE, turn off onto another street. An officer proceeded after the vehicle and stopped it. The driver showed signs of Impairment. The 39 year old Southgate man was arrested and charged. his blood alcohol levels were over the legal limits.. The driver also faces charges of drive while his licence was disqualified. He will appear in court in January 2009

On Sunday December 7, 2008 a Durham man reported his 2001 Chevy Tahoe vehicle stolen from his property in Durham. The vehicle had been taken sometime after midnight. A few hours later Waterloo Regional Police stopped the vehicle in Waterloo and arrested two people. A male and female from the Durham area faces a list of charges..
