West Grey Police Service are investigating a personal injury motor vehicle collision that occurred at 12:45 pm on Saturday December 20, 2008, near the Tim Hortons on Garafraxa St. Durham. A 1999 Ford Escort was northbound approaching the intersection when a southbound Chevrolet Venture mini van turned left in front of the Escort.. The Escort collided with the passenger side of the mini van. The driver of the van pulled over and stopped, he then got out of the van and yelled over to the female driver of the Escort asking her if she and her passenger were ok. The driver of the van then got back into his vehicle and left. The female passenger in the Escort received injuries as a result of the collision. Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating the driver of the Chev mini van. He is described as a male, white 55 to 60 years of age, 5’11” medium build with shorter silver/grey hair. The Chev mini van is Brown with a beige skirt. If anyone has any information about this collision, they are asked to contact West Grey Police at 519-364-2411 or Crime stoppers.
