A repair shop on Douglas St. Durham was entered and person(s) unknown removed a large amount of tools along with an air compressor and a generator, the estimated dollar value of the theft is believed to be over $5000.00

On Saturday January 17, 2009 in the late afternoon a male person parked his 2001 Polaris snowmobile in the parking lot of the Barhead Tavern outside of Markdale, he had removed the key from the sled. Upon his return he discovered the machine gone. Police believe the sled was loaded onto a truck or trailer and taken away. The licence number on the red Polaris is 887893.

As a result of a RIDE program set up in Durham on Saturday night a 29 year old Owen Sound woman was arrested and charged with Operate a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol level over the limit. She had open alcohol in the vehicle that was seized. She will appear in a Walkerton court on February 22, 2009. She received a 90 day licence suspension as a result of the charge.
