31 Year old Durham man received a 3 day drivers licence suspension after an officer could detect a odour of alchol coming from the drivers breath. The driver provided samples of his breath on the Raodside Screening Device after being stopped on Garafraxa St Durham on Saturday May 2, 2009. His readings were between .05 and .08. This falls under the new drinking and driving laws that came into effect on May 1, 2009.

A 35 year old Chesley man was arrested by West Grey Police after he was stopped in the industrial park in Durham at 11:43 p.m. on Sunday May 3, 2009. He had been released by the OPP on April 17, 2009 on the Recognizance for charges of Break and enter and Possession of a controlled substance. The male is being held pending a bail hearing in Walkerton. He now faces additional charges of Breach of Recognizance for not obeying a curfew.
