West Grey Police are investigating an off road motorcycle accident, which sent a 12 year old Durham area youth to hospital in London.

On Sunday evening June 7, 2009 West Grey Police and Fire and Grey County Ambulance responded to a property just south of Durham at 7:00 p.m. to a report of a 12 year old boy who had crashed a motorcycle on a bridge at the rear of the property.

Two brothers age 14 and 12 had left the home to go riding when the younger brother lost control of his bike as he crossed the bridge and was ejected from the bike onto the bridge. The older brother returned to the bridge to check on his brother and found him with back injuries. Emergency workers attended and transported the boy to hospital in Durham, he was air lifted to Victoria hospital in London and later released.

June 3, 2009 West Grey Police investigated the theft of a lawn sweeper from a property in Bentinck twp. The sweeper is red in colour and weights over 400 lbs. The motor on the unit is a 5.5 Honda, if anyone has any information about this theft, they are asked to contact West Grey Police.
