West Grey Police along with the OPP and Hanover Police Service conducted RIDE programs over the weekend with 115 vehicle checked. There was no charges laid as a result. RIDE will be conducted throughout the Thanksgiving long weekend.

West Grey Police executed a arrest warrant on September 30, 2009 on a 35 year old Toronto man. In 2005 a warrant was issued for the arrest of the man after a large marihuana grow was discovered in Bentinck Twp. The man was arrested in Eastern Ontario in mid September of this year on a similar charge of Producing and Possesion of a Controlled Substance. The man was brought back to West Grey and held for a bail hearing.
