Details

A large 150-pound, brass bell was stolen from the front of a residence during the evening of June 17-18. The bell is described as being 22 inches in diameter. The culprits would have had to use a truck or van to remove the heavy bell from the property. It is valued at approximately $1,000.

Details

West Grey Police arrested an impaired driver on June 20 at 1:15 am, while on patrol on Concession 2, Normanby Township.

The man was found sitting behind the wheel of a vehicle while the engine was running. The driver showed obvious signed of intoxication and was arrested and taken to the police station for Breathalyzer tests. He registered 213 and 208 milligrams of blood per 100 litres of blood. The man was charged with impaired driving and driving with over 80 mg of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood. He has a court date of July 12.
