Jake Schafer, a 7 year old resident of West Grey has been diagnosed with Cancer, Neuroblastoma Stage 4. Stage 4 means that the cancer has spread into Jake’s bone marrow. We need your help to encourage and support Jake and his family during their demanding and stressful journey. On July 24, Jake’s Team is planning a fun day for Jake and the community at the Durham Community Centre.
A Benefit Carnival starts at 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., followed by a family dance from 7 p.m. to Midnight. Team up and come out to help Jake FIGHT Neuroblastoma by having lots of fun, good food and laughter with Bouncy Castles, all day BBQ and beer gardens, silent auction, penny table, shave off, face painting and a whole lot more.
HOW CAN YOU HELP:
-Individual or corporately sponsor rental of a carnival ride
-Volunteer your time for manning rides, bbq’s, food/beer gardens, silent auction tables, etc
-Donate funds to support events directly, example: rides, food, supplies
-Donate Silent Auction items, food items, other supplies
-Make a donation – all funds go directly to Jake’s family
Monetary donations may be made at Saugueen Credit Union Durham to “Jake Schafer in Trust”
