Details
An estimated street value of $16 million worth of marijuana plants were seized as the result of an execution of a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, on Aug. 24. The outdoor grow operation had 11,225 plants located on the property, as well as 5,000 plants within a barn. The property location is on Baseline Road in Bentinck Township, in the Municipality of West Grey. The investigation was in collaboration of the West Grey Police Service, with assistance from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Ontario Provincial Police, Saugeen Shores Police Service, Hanover Police Service, and Waterloo Regional Police Service.
Five people have been charged as a result of the execution. A 54-year-old man, a 49-year-old female from Kincardine, a 21-year-old man from West Grey, a 20-year-old woman from Kincardine, and a 22-year-old man from Kincardine. All were held for a bail hearing, all charged with production of marijuana with the purpose of trafficking, under the Controlled Substances Act.
Investigation is continuing.

Details
West Grey Police officers are investigating a break and enter to a residence on Aug. 28 on Concession 12 in Bentinck Township. Investigation revealed that culprits entered a storage shed sometime over the previous two weeks, and stole some hand tools, two canvas tents, and a hammock. Estimated value of the theft is $640. Details
West Grey Police Service is investigating into the theft of a 300 pound plate packer stolen from a construction site on Norpark Drive in Normanby Township. It was stolen sometime between 5 pm and 3 am overnight Aug. 28 -29.
It is described as being blue and white in colour, manufactured by Bartell. If you have any information, please call West Grey Police Service or Crime Stoppers. Estimated value of the plate packer is $3,000.
