West Grey Police Service responded to a call on Sept. 4, after youths were seen in the area throwing eggs at homes. In one instance the youths knocked on a door, and threw eggs at the person who opened the door. West Grey Deputy Police Chief Dan Rioux is reminding people that although this mischief seems harmless, it is serious. He says that severe damage can be done to vehicles and windows, and cause serious damage to people if they are struck in the eyes or face.

West Grey Police Service are investigating the theft of two potted plants in Neustadt. The police were notified on Aug. 30 at 3 pm. Sometime overnight Aug. 29-30, two handmade planters were stolen. One was from the St. Paul’s Church and the second was taken from the T-intersection in Neustadt. West Grey Police are asking that if you have any information, please call West Grey Police or Crime Stoppers.

West Grey Police is investigating a theft from a motor vehicle parked at the Conservation Area parking lot. The incident happened sometime overnight Sept. 3-4. Unknown persons entered an unlocked vehicle and stole numerous items from the vehicle, including a woman’s purse containing personal identification items and a credit card, a set of reading glasses, a set of sunglasses, a Garmin GPS, and a fishing rod and tackle box.
