Details
West Grey Police arrested a 24-year-old man from Mount Forest on February 27.
WGPS responded to a call to assist the OPP with an incident on Grey Road 4 in West Grey. WGPS and OPP searched the vehicle, which resulted in police finding a quantity of marijuana. The man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Further investigation revealed the man was on conditions as per his Undertaking, which stipulated that he sustain from the purchase, possession, and consumption of drugs. This Undertaking was in conjunction with the suspect’s previous arrest. He was released from WGPS on a promise to appear with a court date of March 28.

Occurrence Type: Recovered Vehicle

Details
WGPS responded to a report on Feb. 25 at 8am, regarding a vehicle in the Tim Horton’s parking lot in Durham. WGPS located a 2003 Chevrolet Malibu in the parking lot. Investigation determined the vehicle had been reported stolen to the Collingwood OPP. The vehicle was towed from the Tim Horton’s, and the WGPS scenes of Crime Officer attended to the vehicle for analysis, before it was turned over to the Collingwood OPP.

Occurrence Type: Man Charged with Failing to Remain

Details
WPGS responded to a call regarding a motor vehicle collision in Neustadt. On Feb. 26 at 2:30am. WGPS attended a residence in regards to a motor vehicle collision. Upon arrival, officers saw a 2000 Dodge Dakota pickup truck in the ditch. The vehicle showed heavy damage to the truck, as well as to some trees and the mailbox for the residence. Investigation determined the vehicle belonged to a 19-year-old resident from the municipality of Southgate. He was charged with failing to report an accident under the Highway Traffic Act.

Details
A 16-year-old male has been charged with driving with no valid license, under the Motorized Snow Vehicle Act. On Feb. 27, while officers were conducting routine checks. WGPS stopped a snow vehicle on Concession 12 of the former Glenelg Township. The driver failed to present a valid license to the police, which resulted in his charge.
