Details
WGPS arrested a 33-year-old woman after returning to a residence on Countess Street in Durham. Upon police arrival a second time, the woman began to shout and yell at police.
Police returned to the residence after hearing furniture being thrown from the balcony of the residence. She was charged with causing a disturbance and mischief. She was released with a court date of July 11.

Occurrence Type: YOUTH DRIVES INTO TREES

A 17-year-old youth was arrested by WGPS after investigation determined that the youth was at fault for numerous trees being damaged at the Saugeen Valley Conservation Area on
Grey Road 28 in Normanby township. Police attended the scene, and saw no one was in the vehicle, however there were a number of trees on the vehicle. The suspect was later located by police and arrested. He was brought back to the police station for breath tests, registering 195mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood, and 176 mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood. He was charged with impaired driving, breach of recognizance, dangerous driving, and failing to remain at the scene of an accident.

WGPS are investigating an incident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in the parking lot of the Tim Horton’s in Durham. At 8:30am on June 4, a pedestrian and a vehicle collided in the parking lot of Tm Horton’s. A pedestrian exited a vehicle parked in the parking lot, and was struck by a vehicle who was pulling into a parking space near the first vehicle. The driver asked if the pedestrian was OK, and then left the scene. WGPS are asking anyone with information to please come forward.

WGPS are investigating the theft of a 24-foot trailer from a residence on Halena Street in Ayton. The trailer is described as being white, 24 feet long, with a tandem axel, a rear cargo door, a ramp at the back, and a blue sticker near the right rear door. The trailer also had a freezer inside, valued at $1,000, and a bedroom set valued at $1,000. If you have any information please contact WGPS or Crime Stoppers.
