West Grey – A lone male walking a dog at the Durham Conservation area was the victim of an attempted robbery on last Wednesday at 10:50 a.m. The victim, a 24-year-old, was approached from behind by two men. One suspect grabbed the victim by the shoulder and demanded the victim’s wallet. The second suspect pulled a knife out and ordered the victim to give him his wallet. The first suspect is described as being between the ages of 15 and 16, approximately 180 pounds and six feet tall. He is described as being a muscular build, with a shaved head. He is described as wearing black shorts, and having a tattoo. The second suspect is described as being approximately five feet and ten inches tall, with a shaved head, muscular build, being approximately 180 pounds. He is described as being between the ages of 15 and 20 years of age. He was wearing a white sports jersey with a red logo on the jersey, a White hat with the same kind of red logo, and having a tattoo on his right forearm. Occurrence Type: MAN ARRESTED FOR HARASSMENT

Details
Police arrested a 42-year-old man from Kitchener after receiving a report of a 45-year-old female of Normanby Township, receiving phone calls in a harassing manner. Waterloo police arrested the man on a the strength of a West Grey Police Service warrant. He was arrested and turned over to the West Grey Police. He was charged with two counts of threats to cause bodily harm and criminal harassment. He was released with a court date.

Details
West Grey Police caught a 19-year-old man driving at 150 km per hour July 16. Officers were conducting radar on Grey Road 4 near Mulock Road. The vehicle was pulled over, and the man was given a summons for performing a stunt excess access speed. The vehicle was impounded for seven days, and the driver’s license was suspended for seven days. People who are issued a summons such as this automatically receive court dates.

West Grey Police are investigating a theft of copper wire from a site on Elmwood street is Durham. The estimated value of the theft is $700 to $800. It is believed to have been taken between July 13 at 8:30 p.m. and July 14 at 7:00 a.m. it is described as being covered is black insulation. On July 17, West Grey police charged a 51-year-old female with impaired and over 80, after she failed a roadside screening test. She was transported to the police service for breathalyzer tests where she registered 130 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood.
