West Grey – a 67-year-old man faces charges of careless use of a firearm after a 71-year-old man was shot while hunting. The victim was taken to Durham hospital and later transferred to Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto. Police were dispatched to an area on Road 23 in Glenelg township. West Grey police will be working with the Ministry of Natural Resources to investigate.

West Grey Police are asking for anyone with information to come forward after a 2004 F1-50 was vandalized sometime between Oct. 15 and Oct. 16. The vehicle was left at 11:30 a.m. on Oct. 15 at a residence on Countess Street in Durham. The owner returned to the vehicle to find the driver’s side window wiper broken off. Previous to this incident, the owner of the home found that unknown suspects had vandalized a door to the residence by painting it.
