West Grey – West Grey police were dispatched to a residence on Concession 14 of Bentinck Township, after dispatch received a 911 hang-up call Dec. 13 at 6 p.m. Police attended and investigation lead to the arrest of a 38-year-old female for domestic assault. She was released on a promise to appear with an undertaking. Her court date is January 9 in Walkerton.

West Grey Police service is asking for anyone with information regarding a theft of a Kobota L45 four-wheel drive tractor and back-hoe combination from a business on Bruce Road 10 in Bentinck Township. The complainant told police that sometime over night Dec. 14 to Dec. 15, an unknown person stole the equipment. The value of the theft is 37,751.25. The owner of Frosty the Snowman holiday decoration reported to police that it had been stolen. Police received information on Dec. 18, and investigation determined the theft happened sometime over night Dec. 17 to 18. The decoration is five feet tall and is made of whicker. West Grey Police received a report of a theft of a chainsaw from a property located on Concession 18 in Normanby Township. Police received the report on Dec. 18. The victim stated the chainsaw is valued at $372 and is a Husqvarna, model 235 or model 240.
