West Grey Police arrested a 22-year-old man after he resisted arrest and obstructed justice. He was charged after failing to give his name to the police officer. He was charged with having open liquor and obstructing and resisting arrest. He was released on a promise to appear with a court date of June 18.

Police are asking for any information regarding a mischief on May 4 whereby unknown suspects broke a number of mailboxes on Concession 2 in Bentinck Township. West Grey Police gave fines and laid charges to five people following a dance at the Durham Community Centre. Five were charged under the liquor license act. Two were charged with being drunk in a public place, two were charged with drinking under 19 years of age, one was charged with having liquor in an n open container.

A 70-year-old man was arrested after he was caught driving impaired. Breathalyzer tests registered 231 mg and 227 mg. He was charged with over 80 mg, and released on a promise to appear for court on May 7. He was stopped on Garafraxa Street in Durham.
