Details

West Grey – a 17-year-old youth was charged with person under 19 years of age with alcohol. The youth was given a fine. Police were on routine patrol on Albert Street in Ayton, when the officer spotted a group of people at the end of the dead-end street. The incident happened last Saturday.

Details

A 42-year-old woman, of Markdale, was charged with having more than 80mg of alcohol in her system while driving, as a result of a call to the dispatch centre regarding the driver driving suspiciously. Police located the vehicle and investigated. Further breathalyzer tests completed showed that she had 210 mg in her system. She was released on a promise to appear for court on May 28. West Grey Police Service wants to remind drivers that if you see a driver showing signs of intoxication, to call the police immediately.

Details

A 29-year-old and a 31-year-old woman, of Welland, were arrested after investigation determined they were involved in an incident regarding theft. They were charged with theft under $5,000, fraud, forgery, and uttering a forged document. The complainant and two accused people knew each another. The complainant attended the West Grey Police Service station to report the crimes. They were arrested in Durham at the complainant’s residence.
They were released with a promise to appear for court on June 25.
