West Grey – A property owner in Glenelg Township was disrupted at the early morning hours of Aug. 16, after the complainant heard a commotion happening on the property. The suspects were standing at the door of the residence when attempting to gain entry. They did not gain entry to the residence. As they left, the complainant said that a motorcycle sounded. Details

Friday, a kayak was stolen from the backyard of a residence on Lambton Street West in Durham. The kayak is described as being a Wilderness Systems, Pamlico 120 fire engine red, 12 feet long, and valued at approximately $700. Two paddles were also stolen, valued at $100. Details

Saturday at 2:20 p.m. a Chrysler 300 travelling west bound on Grey Road 4, veered across the yellow line, and dinged the front of a east bound travelling Tractor trailer unit. To avoid the collision, the driver of the tractor trailer drove into the gravel area. The Chrysler 300’s front left corner hit the front wheel of the trailer. The driver is charged with failing to share half roadway under the Highway Traffic Act.

A property, located in Normanby township on Side Road 5, was entered Saturday. An amount of copper and a black 80 foot extension cord was stolen. The items were located beside a barn on the property. Occurrence Type: Driver Crashes into Tractor Trailer
Occurrence Number: GR – 65

Details

A van collided with a parked tractor trailer unit Sunday in Neustadt at 1 a.m. The van struck the parked, an unattended tractor trailer. Four people were injured and transported to the Hanover and District Hospital. Three were treated and released and one person was airlifted to Victoria Hospital in London. The driver was charged with careless driving. The van was destroyed as a result, and the tractor trailer sustained substantial damage to the front.
