Dispatching of West Grey Police Officers by the Owen Sound Police Services Communications Centre will commence on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 8:00 in the morning.
As a result citizens wanting to contact the police service will be required to dial new numbers from that time forward.
Citizens shoudl call 519-371-6911 to report an incident or to speak to an officer. Citizens in the 327, 367, 334 and 323 telephone exchange areas who cannot dial this new number without long distance chages applying can call the toll free number at 1-855-234-8224. Citizens can still dial 9-1-1 for ermergencies, and the Administration number for administrative inquiries only will remain the same 519-369-3046.
