The West Grey Police Service attended to two assault incidents last week. The first incident saw a 47-year-old Durham man arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, being meth. He is scheduled to appear in Walkerton court on April 15. A 41-year-old Durham man was charged with assault after an incident with his girlfriend March 6. He was held for a bail hearing.

Last Wednesday, while officers were conducting RIDE at 6:25 p.m., they laid five charges to do with violations under the Highway Traffic Act. The RIDE was conducted on Garafraxa Street south and Douglas Street in Durham. Several vehicles were checked which resulted in five Highway Traffic Act charges and one charged laid under the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act.
