West Grey Police have laid charges against a Milldmay woman following a fatal motor vehicle collision in August.
Shirley Sachs was pronouned dead at the scene of the collision that occurred near the intersection of Concession 2 WGR and Grey Road 4 west of Durham.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a Buick Rendevous was travelling west bound on Grey Road 4 passing another vehicle while entering a curve and collided head on with a Cheverolet Equinox operated by Sachs.
The driver of the Rendevous, Debra Cndric, 49, of Mildmay, was taken to Durham hospital and later airlifted to Victoria Hospital in London with serious injuries. Cindric is charged with criminal negligence causing death, impaired oepration of a motor vehicle and driving with over 80 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood causing death.
