Between February 21- February 28 2016 West Grey Police responded to 9 separate motor vehicle collisions. Minor injuries were reported in some of the collisions. Weather, road conditions and motorists failing to drive with care during poor weather contributed to some of the collisions.

On Tuesday February 23 2016 West Grey Police were called to a rural residence regarding a male who had been drinking and was now operating a motor vehicle on the property. Police attended and arrested a male party for impaired operation of a motor vehicle. West Grey Police would like to remind the public that drinking and driving laws apply on private property and both on and off the highway.

Details
On Tuesday February 23 2016 West Grey Police responded to a report of multiple break and enters into seasonal campers located at the Saugeen Conservation area East of Durham. Police determined that a number of trailers had been entered. It is unknown at this time if anything was stolen. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact Crimestoppers.

Occurrence Type: Mental Health Act Apprehension
Details
On Friday February 26 West Grey Police acting on a Mental Health Act warrant apprehended an individual in Durham. The party was transported without incident to the Durham hospital and later transferred to Owen Sound Regional Hospital for treatment.

Occurrence Type: Stolen Vehicle Crash
Details
Early on Saturday February 27 2016 West Grey Police were called to a single motor vehicle collision on Concession #12 [Normanby Tp]. Police discovered a severely damaged pick –up truck with both air bags deployed. The truck was later reported stolen from the Bradford, Ontario area. Investigation is ongoing with assistance from the South Simcoe Police Service
