Details
On Saturday 2 April 2016 as a result of a weapons/drug investigation members of the West Grey Police Service, executed Criminal Code and a CDSA (Controlled Drugs and Substances Act) search warrant at a property located on Louisa Street in the former Village of Ayton, within the Municipality of West Grey.
On the property was approximately $3000.00 in illegal drugs, approximately $6000.00 in stolen property, numerous prohibited weapons and two firearms. All these items listed were seized from the property.
Two persons have been arrested they’re being held for bail hearings at the Provincial Court in Walkerton. The accused persons have been identified as April Tone age 37 of West Grey and Kent Friesen age 35 of West Grey. They both been charged with numerous Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act charges.
The investigation is continuing.

Occurrence Type: Impaired Driving
Details
On Sunday 3 April 2016, in the late afternoon the West Grey Police attended on Artemesia-Glenelg Townline near Concession 4 for a motor vehicle collision. A male was arrested by the officer and transported to the West Grey Police Station were breath tests were conducted and the male was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80mg.

Occurrence Number: Theft of ATVS
Details
On Sunday 27 March 2016 unknown persons attended 312908 Highway 6 the business of Snowmobiles Unlimited. At approximately 3:00am unknown suspects gained access to the yard of the business by crossing through the field and stole 2 brand new ATV’s. The suspects pried and hit the crates with an axe to gain access to the ATV’s. The ATV’s are described as 2016 Artic Cat Alterra XT 700cc white in colour and 2016 Artic Cat Alterra XT 695cc camouflage in colour. Bot ATV’s are valued over $25,000.00.
