On Monday 2 May 2016, West Grey Police received a report of a barn and shed that had been broken into in the former Normanby Township. This incident occurred between March 2016 and the report date. Seats from two boats were stolen. Anyone with information please contact Crime Stoppers or the West Grey Police Service. Investigation is continuing.

Overnight on Wednesday 4 May 2016, three youths were interrupted by a citizen while trying to enter cars in the town of Durham. One youth was caught and provided the name “John KEITH” to the citizen and was let go, however checks of the name conducted by police have thus far met with negative results.  During the same time period a car and truck at another location in Durham were entered and an iPad valued at $600 was stolen. Overnight on Wednesday 4 May 2016, the Becker’s store in the town of Durham had a rock thrown at the building and the large front window sustained a crack. The estimated cost to replace the window is approximately $1,000. This incident is possibly associated to the same youths that had been seen entering vehicles. Sometime overnight on Thursday – Friday 5-6 May 2016, four businesses in the Norpark Industrial Park just north of Mount Forest were broken into. The victim companies are; City Stone which had a quantity of computer equipment, a valuable laser templater and cash stolen, Mantara Construction which had a quantity of computer equipment stolen, Barcon Concrete Pumping appears to have had nothing stolen and M&C Liquidation had a quantity of tools, watches and sunglasses stolen.  Entrance was gained to each business in the same manner and all buildings sustained some damage. The list of items stolen is not complete. The value of stolen items is approximately $15,000. The investigation is ongoing.
