With my retirement approaching and just around the corner, this will be my final “Chief’s Corner” submission. I hope you found some of the information provided over the years useful and I thank those who contacted me with suggestions.
My career, like any other, came with its ups and downs but I can’t think of any other career path I would have chosen.
I would like to thank my family for always being there for me. Being the spouse of or the child of a police officer isn’t always easy, particularly in a small town where everyone knows everyone.
I am so thankful for having been given the opportunity to serve as chief of the West Grey Police Service for the past 11-1/2 years, a dedicated, forward thinking and highly respected service along with the support and trust bestowed upon me by Board Chair Kevin Eccles and members the police services board, Mayor Kevin Eccles and member of council and the citizens of West Grey.
I thank the men and women of the police service for all your hard work and dedication. Always going strong, sharing your expertise and always coming together when it is required. Keep up the good work. I wish my successor all the best in his/her endeavours.
Thanks to you all for your support.
