On Thursday 5 November 2016 a male party attended an address in the Former Township of Bentinck within the Municipality of West Grey. The male party gained access to a garage, stole a set of keys to a pickup truck, stole the truck and left the property. The male drove the pickup truck to another property a short distance away and was attempting to break and enter into the residence. The male was being watched by the property owner, in turn called the police. The male was arrested on the property where he was attempting to break and enter. The male was also in possession of stolen letters that were delivered by Canada Post to two different address within the municipality. The male was held for a Bail Hearing for the pending charges of Break and Enter, Theft of Motor Vehicle, Possession of Stolen Property, Attempt Break and Enter to Commit Offence, Theft of Mail x2,

Between Sunday 30 October 2016 and Saturday 5 November 2016 unknown persons attended an address in the Former Township of Bentinck within the Municipality of West Grey. Unknown suspect(s) gained access to a residence and stole a number bottles of alcohol. Anyone who may have information pertaining to this crime can contact the West Grey Police Service or Crime Stoppers.

From Saturday 29 October, 2016 to Saturday 5 November, 2016 West Grey Police responded to 12 car vs deer collisions within the municipality. Police remind motorists to scan for deer while driving near dusk and dawn, the majority of car vs deer collisions occur at this time. With the rifle deer hunt this week police in past years notice an increase of car vs deer collisions occur.
