On Aug. 13, 2017 West Grey Police investigated a fail to remain single vehicle rollover involving a red Ford Escape on Grey Road 3 in Normanby Twp. It was determined that the vehicle had recently been stolen from a business on Bruce Road 10 and the owner’s had been unaware of the theft. Upon being stolen the vehicle had been used to run through two fences on Grey Road 3 in Bentinck Twp., the person/s had also attended at a residence on Grey Road 3 in Bentinck Twp. and gone through two vehicles. The person/s also were responsible for two break and enters of sheds in the area.
After rolling the vehicle, a second vehicle, a green Nissan Quest minivan was stolen a short distance away. It was subsequently recovered on Aug. 14, 2017.
On Aug. 13, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. a van parked at the Durham Conservation Area had the window smashed and a wallet stolen. A young male approximately 15 years of age was observed fleeing from the vehicle.
