On Monday, the 21st of August a male was assaulted with a pipe in the Town of Durham, West Grey. The male was struck twice with the pipe which was later recovered and turned over to police. The same night, a West Grey man was arrested for assault with a weapon and is scheduled to appear in criminal court.
On Thursday, the 24th of August a male suspect had entered two separate residences within the Town of Durham, West Grey. The suspect was identified by personal belongings left at the first residence he entered and was arrested while on scene at the second residence. The accused was charged with Break and Enter (x2) and Breach of a Probation Order, he was held for bail court.
On Friday, the 25th of August at approximately 11:05pm while on general patrol West Grey Police observed a suspicious vehicle parked on private property. When speaking with the lone male driver, a West Grey man, a partial can of alcohol was observed on the floor of the vehicle. The driver passed roadside testing and was subsequently charged with consuming liquor other than residence.
On Sunday, the 27th of August West Grey Police were called to a residence in the Town of Durham for a dispute with an unwanted female. Police found the female to be in breach of a condition she was previously released on and placed the female under arrest. The intoxicated female assaulted and spat on police during the arrest. She was charged with multiple assault peace officer, assault with a weapon, failure to comply with recognizance and further criminal charges as a result of the incident. She was subsequently held for a bail hearing.
