Stolen Motorcycle:
On Sept. 21 West Grey police responded the report of a stolen motorcycle from a residence east of Hanover. Sometime overnight, culprit(s) attended and stole a 2017 Suzuki motorcycle white in colour from the property.
ATV crash resulting in impaired driving charge:
On Sept. 23 West Grey police along with ambulance responded to a single ATV collision in Normanby Township where the male driver was ejected suffering lacerations to his head and back. Police observed the signs of impairment in the driver who was subsequently arrested for impaired driving and transported to West Grey Police Service for further testing. Further testing revealed the male to have a blood alcohol concentration greater then 80mgs/100ml which resulted in additional criminal charge. The male’s licence was suspended for 90 days, he is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
Fight leads to assault charge:
On Sept 23. West Grey police were requested by ambulance to attend an address in Bentinck Township where a male had been assaulted resulting in serious injury. Police found that two males entered into a fight resulting with one male suffering injury to his face, right arm, right hip and a possible neck injury. The injured male was transported to local hospital prior to being airlifted to a London. The accused turned himself into police, he was subsequently charged with assault cause bodily harm contrary to the Criminal Code.
