Between the 29th of October and the 5th of November 2017 West Grey Police responded to 90 calls for service.
West Grey Police are still receiving numerous calls for motor vehicle collisions involving deer.
On the 29th of October 2017 West Grey Police assisted a Ministry of Natural Resources officer who was investigating a male for hunting. The officer became suspicious that the male was driving while Impaired. West Grey Police attended and arrested a male for Impaired driving. The male provided breath samples and as a result an additional charge of drive with more than 80 mlgs of alcohol in his blood was added.
On the 1st of November 2017 three vehicles had their windows smashed and items stolen from within. This occurred at the Ayton Arena.
On the 2nd of November 2017 Police were called about hunters trespassing on private property. Police attended and charged a hunting guide with trespassing while hunting under the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act.
On the 4th of November 2017 at 7:50 am Police responded to a male causing a disturbance in Durham . As a result a 23 year old male was charged with being intoxicated in a public place.
On the 5th of November 2017 as result of a traffic stop a 47 year old male from Owen Sound was charged with possession of stolen property which were the plates on the vehicle and Possession of a small quantity of Marijuana and driving with no insurance.
Police are requesting the public’s assistance with the identification of a male of interest regarding a Fraud Over $5000 offence at a local bank and at a bank in Grand Valley. See the photo below.
