Once again local businesses, police services, community groups and individual donors have joined forces to provide some joy to local families this holiday season.
Each year there are overwhelming donations of toys for some age groups. This year a special appeal for monetary donations is going out to ensure that all of the approximately 200 children on our list receive the joy of the Christmas season.
Officers from both Hanover Police Service and West Grey Police Service will be on hand at Walmart on Saturday November 18, 2017 from 900-300 to accept donations of food, toys and cash.
West Grey Police Auxiliary officers will be out in Durham after the Santa Claus parade on Saturday December 2, 2017 at Durham Foodland and McLean’s Home Hardware where donations of food, toys or money will be gratefully accepted.
Other toy and food drop-off points include:
- New Orleans Pizza in Durham
- Durham Medical Clinic
- West Grey Police Service
- Hanover Police Service
- McLean’s Home Hardware in Durham
- Granny’s in Ayton and Neustadt
- Village Creations in Neustadt
Donations of cash and cheques are also accepted at West Grey Police Service, 153 George St W PO Box 676 Durham ON N0G 1R0
We send our heartfelt thanks to all who donate during this season.
Wishing each and every one a safe and happy Christmas!
