Special Olympics Award

On Saturday January 27th 2018, Cst. Cory Trainor attended the Special Olympics Provincial Meeting in Niagara Falls, Ontario. While at the event, Chair of the OACP Torch Run Executive committee, Chief Andre Fletcher of the South Simcoe Police Service and the director of the Ontario Law Enforcement Torch Run, Sergeant Mark McGugan of the London Police Service, presented the West Grey Police Service with an award for having the Second Highest Growth in Revenue Raised for Special Olympics Ontario in 2017. Cst. Trainor was proud to accept the award on behalf of all the members of the West Grey Police Service and all the members of the community who supported our Special Olympics events. A special thanks is given to all the Staff at St Peters St Paul’s School for hosting the event and to the West Grey Fire Department for your continuous partnership that makes our events possible. We look forward to seeing everyone on March 9th 2018 for our Second Annual Polar Plunge were we hope to surpass last year’s achievements and continue supporting the Special Olympics and Torch Run for years to come.
