West Grey Police Service is excited to announce the kick off to the annual toy drive.
This year we have partnered again with McLean’s Home Hardware, the Durham Food Bank and local schools along with our generous business community and residents to bring some magic to Christmas morning for local children.
Donation bins are located at the West Grey Police Service, McLean’s Home Hardware, the Durham Medical Clinic and Granny’s General Store in both Ayton and Neustadt.
Officers will again be collecting toys at the Home Hardware in Durham on November 30, 2019 from 9am to 3 pm and there will be a Food Drive at Foodland in Durham on December 7th after the Santa Claus Parade. Officers will collect toys at McLean’s Home Hardware that day as well. We will be happy to take toy and financial donations up to December 13th. Packing and distribution of toys will take place the following week just in time for Christmas.
Thanks to all who donate to this worthy event.
***Holiday Toy Drive Donations***
The holiday season should be one of happiness and joyful days of the year. For some families however, it is a stressful time as children dream of Christmas morning and gifts under the tree and a nourishing Christmas meal.
If your West Grey family could use some assistance from the West Grey Police Service Toy Drive and our donors this season, we encourage you to contact your child’s school or our office.
We will ask you to provide the age and gender of your child(ren) and would appreciate having some gift ideas as well. The request is completely confidential and we ensure that your privacy will be respected.
If you are a family living in West Grey but your child(ren) attends school outside of the Municipality, you can still participate by calling one of the numbers below:
