On May 24th, 2020 at 12:30am, West Grey Police entered into an investigation after a 33 year old male was allegedly stabbed by a second male during an altercation in a parking lot behind an address on Garafraxa Street South in Durham.

 

The victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. During the investigation WGPS were able to identify a suspect but not able to locate the male. An arrest warrant was obtained for his arrest.

 

On Sunday May 24th 2020 at 5:20pm West Grey Police officers were able to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle containing the suspect. Officers located the male hiding in the rear seat of the vehicle.

 

A 35 year old male of no fixed address was arrested and charged with attempted murder, intimidation and assaulting a police officer. He was held for bail court and remanded into custody.
