West Grey Police Service conducted RIDE checks at various locations between July 3rd and July 5th in the Municipality.  A number of drivers were ticketed for Highway Traffic Acts offences and one resident received a 3 day drivers  license suspension for having a BAC between .05 and .08.

 

On July 4, 2020 West Grey Police received a report about a theft of tools and equipment from two construction trailers on Grey Road 12.  The theft is still under investigation. Sometime in the early morning hours of July 5, 2020 an as yet identified grey motor vehicle collided with a cyclist on Grey Road 4.  The vehicle driver stopped and asked if the young cyclist was injured and then left the scene.  This investigation is ongoing.

 

Overnight on July 7, 2020 unknown suspects attempted a break and enter at the Canada Post office in Durham.  This incident is under investigation.  If you have any information about this crime please call Crimestoppers or West Grey Police.
