Shortly after midnight on July 12, 2020 West Grey Police Service received a report of a domestic assault.  A 39 year old West Grey male was arrested and charged with assault.  He was released with conditions that include no contact with his victim.

 

On July 13th West Grey Police were notified of two overnight thefts.  A 2020 white enclosed trailer was stolen from a business on Highway 6 south of Durham and then used  to steal a 2020 Orange Kubota lawn tractor with an attached loader and side discharger from a business on Bruce Rd 10 north of Elmwood.  Video surveillance of the culprits shows a stocky male with a beard  and a stocky female. On July 13th  a local business person had her wallet and phone stolen from her desk while she stepped briefly out of the store.  The wallet was located a short time later by a local youth who promptly turned it in to police.  The phone and a substantial amount of cash were not recovered.  If you have any information about this crime, please contact Crimestoppers or West Grey Police Service.

 

On July 14, 2020 at approximately 10:30 p.m. West Grey Police officers responded to a single motor vehicle collision in the area of Grey Rd 6 and Road 63.  Investigation of the collision led to impaired driving  charges against the 26 year old driver.  The male from Walkerton received an automatic 90 day license suspension.  He will appear in court on September 23, 2020 to answer to the charges.
