On October 2, 2020 West Grey Police officers located a male party who was found to breaching the terms of a conditional sentence order recently imposed by the courts.
The male was arrested and held for a bail hearing. He remains in custody to await his court date.
On October 4, 2020 West Grey Police officers responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch at Grey Roads 10 and 28 south of Hanover. The male driver of the vehicle had been drinking and failed the roadside screening. He was transported to the West Grey station where breath tests were administered and he was subsequently charged with Operation while Impaired and Operation while Impaired-Over 80. He was released and will appear in court to answer to the charges.
On October 4, 2020 a West Grey resident reported that sometime between September 29, 2020 and October 3, 2020 unknown culprit(s) stole a brand new firearm from the box of his pickup truck.
The firearm had been seized by the Hanover Police Service during an arrest at 10th St location of Tim Horton’s in Hanover on October 2, 2020. Investigation into the theft continues.
