Police Inspector

 

The West Grey Police Service is looking for a police professional who has a demonstrated track record of experience, ethical decision making, innovative leadership and community collaboration. The new Inspector should have experience working in partnership with the community, working and leading a team, an understanding of the business of policing, budgeting and have demonstrated the highest level of integrity and professionalism throughout their policing career.

The West Grey Police Service has a compliment of 21 sworn officers and two civilian members. The new Inspector will be responsible for maintaining a visible presence at all levels of the West Grey Police Service: commitment to improving morale, addressing performance management concerns, and developing trust and transparency through open communication.

The successful candidate should demonstrate a progressive track record of hands on policing and operational management usually attained through advancement to a Senior Officer or Staff Sergeant level. The candidate should highlight relevant experience and educational background. The successful candidate should also possess the ability to communicate effectively within the organization as well as with all sectors of the community, problem solve, be technically inclined, and have a reputation for fairness and impartiality.
