During the weeks of November 11 – 25, 2021, the West Grey Police Service responded to 148 total calls for service.

Officers responded to 20 Traffic Complaints / Enforcements with 22 Motor Vehicle Collisions, 34 Police Assistance and 6 Suspicious Persons Complaints. Officers attended at 2 Family / Domestic Disputes. Police provided assistance and de-escalation at 8 Mental Health Act calls while also responding to 8 – 911 calls and assisting paramedics 2 times.  West Grey Police executed 1 Arrest Warrant for a neighbouring police service.

November 16, 2021 – Impaired Arrest – On Tuesday November 16, 2021 West Grey Police received a call from a concerned citizens regarding a possible Impaired Driver.  Witnesses watched as the vehicle rolled backwards on Garfraxa Street onto George Street into the parking lot of West Grey Police Service where it hit a sign.  The driver was arrested and was found to have more than twice the legal limit.  The accused was processed, vehicle impounded and driver’s license suspended.  He will appear in Walkerton Court in January.
