Disturb the Peace – On Friday April 29, 2022 West Grey Police were called to an address on Garafraxa Street after receiving a report of a fight in progress. Officers arrived on scene and dealt with a male who was under the influence of a controlled substance and was screaming profanities in public. A 31-year old male was arrested and transported to police headquarters for processing.
Stolen Vehicle Arrest – On Sunday May 1, 2022 West Grey Police were called to the area of Grey Road 4 and Grey Road 3 in response to a stolen vehicle. Once on scene officers recovered a stolen Toyota Tacoma that had been reported stolen earlier in the day from the Blue Mountain area. While officers searched for suspects a second call was received from a home owner reporting that two people had just stolen an ATV from their shop. West Grey Police with the assistance of the homeowner pursued and apprehended the two suspects.
A 29-yar old male of no fixed address was arrested and is charged with:
- Possession of Stolen Property (2 Counts)
- Theft of Motor Vehicle
- Possession of Firearm
- Theft Over $5,000
- Break and Enter
A 28-year old female of no fixed address was arrested and is charged with:
- Possession of Stolen Property (2 Counts)
Both were held by Police for Bail Hearings but were later released by the Ontario Court of Justice.
