During the week of September 8 – 15, 2022, the West Grey Police Service responded to 99 total calls for service.

  • 6 – Domestic / Family Disputes                               
  • 4 – Ambulance / Fire Assistance Calls
  • 1 – Impaired / Over 80
  • 10 – Suspicious Persons / Vehicles
  • 5 – Theft Investigations
  • 2 – Break and Enter
  • 8 – Traffic Hazards / Traffic Enforcements
  • 3 – Mental Health Act
  • 2 – Warrants Executed
  • 1 – Sudden Death

 

Impaired Operation / Over 80 –  On September 14, 2022 West Grey Officers conducted a traffic stop on Grey Road 4 near Camp Oliver Road after the vehicle nearly collided with a marked police cruiser.  As a result of investigation a 22-year old male from Priceville, Ontario was arrested and has been charged with:

  • Impaired Operation
  • Drive Over 80

The accused was transported to WGPS HQ where he registered an alcohol reading of nearly 3 times the legal limit. 

He was processed and later released.  He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.

Threats – On September 14, 2022 West Grey Police were called to a Durham address in response to a Threats Complaint. 

As a result of the investigation a Warrant for Arrest has been issued for a 22-year old male from Durham for:

  • Theft Under $ 5,000 – (3 Counts)
  • Uttering Threats
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order – (2 Counts)
  • Use Credit Card Obtained by Crime
