On December 10, 2023 West Grey Police officers responded to a complaint of assault at an address south of Durham in West Grey.

The Investigation resulted in a single count of Assault being laid against a 52 yr old West Grey man.

He was released on an Undertaking with conditions and will appear in court in January to answer to the charge.

 

On December 12, 2023 a male party turned himself in to police after a warrant was issued for his arrest charging him with failing to comply with the conditions of an existing undertaking.

He was arrested and released with a new court date in January 2024.

 

Also on December 12th the Guelph Police Service advised they were releasing an individual who had outstanding bench warrants with West Grey Police Service.

Officers attended Guelph’s police station to take custody of the male party and transported him back to West Grey where he was held for a bail hearing and subsequently released on conditions with a new court date.

 

On December 11th West Grey Police were advised of the theft of a  Grey and Blue 1992 Yamaha ATV from an address on Park St W.  the theft occurred overnight on December 9th.  If anyone has information about this theft please contact West Grey Police at 519-371-6911 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.

 

The annual West Grey Police Service Toy Drive was a huge success this year thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our community.  Over 200 children and their families will have a brighter Christmas thanks to all of you.
