On January 5, 2024 West Grey Police were made aware of threats being made against employees of a local government agency by a West Grey resident.

After an investigation a 50 year old male from West Grey was arrested, charged and released with conditions not to communicate with the employees or attend their workplace.  He will appear in court at a future date.


On January 9, 2024 West Grey Police were notified of an assault which took place at a residence in West Grey.  Officers attended and a 40 year old Bradford resident was arrested and charged with two counts of assault. The female was already on charge with another agency for similar offences so she was held for a bail hearing and was remanded into custody.


During the past week  two thefts and one break and enter occurred on Concession 4 in the former Glenelg township.  Two propane tanks, gas cans and two hay wagons were stolen between the three incidents.  Area residents are asked to report any suspicious vehicles or persons in the area.  There was one additional theft of propane tanks and tools from an address on Grey Rd 10 overnight on January 7th, 2024.
