On February 5, 2024 officers investigated a complaint of spousal assault. As a result, a 38 year old male from West Grey was arrested, charged with three counts of assault and released on conditions with a future court date.
On February 1, 2024 West Grey Officers charged a 31 year old under the Trespass to Property Act for attending a residence he had been previously served a trespass notice not to attend.
On January 27, 2024 West Grey officers charged a 78 year old under the Trespass to Property Act for attending a business they had been previously served a trespass notice not to attend.
On February 3, 2024 a third party contacted West Grey Police with concerns about a friend’s safety.
Officers attended a residence in West Grey and located a 34 year old male who was on conditions not to communicate with or be near the resident.
He was arrested and faces multiples charges for breaching conditions of release orders and court orders. He remains in custody at press time.
On February 1, 2024 officers were conducting RIDE checks in Neustadt. A vehicle evaded the check, was followed and eventually stopped. The driver, a 39 year old from Huron County, showed signs of having consumed alcohol and breath tests led to a charge of impaired operation as well as three Highway Traffic Act charges. The vehicle he was driving was impounded; he was released on conditions associated with the offences and he will attend court at a future date to answer to the charges.
In the early morning hours of February 1, 2024 officers on patrol observed a vehicle parked on the shoulder of the road on Grey Rd 3. Officers approached the vehicle and noted indica of alcohol impairment on the driver. After breath tests were conducted the driver, a 26 year old female of West Grey, was charged with impaired operation; the vehicle she was driving was impounded and she was released on conditions associated with this offence. She will appear in court at a future date.
