During the week of April 21st – 28th officers responded to 100 calls for service.

On April 26th, 2025 police responded to a call in Bentinck of an unwanted male attempting to enter an apartment building. Police arrived on scene and spoke with witnesses who advised the suspect male was still on scene. The suspect male was uncooperative with police and ultimately provided a fake name to officers. Through their investigation police determined the true identity of the male who was wanted out of Waterloo Region. The male was arrested on the strength of the warrant and for Obstructing a Peace Officer.

On April 28th, 2025 police entered into a theft investigation after several hundred dollars worth of copper wiring was stolen from a job site in Normanby. Through their investigation police identified several parties, who were later found in possession of the stolen property. All parties were arrested and charged accordingly. A male suspect was held for bail and a female suspect was released on an Undertaking, both appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice Walkerton at a later date.

On April 28th, 2025 police responded to a large structure fire in Normanby. Police assisted West Grey Fire Department with scene security. An outbuilding and approximately 40 acres of land were lost, however there was no injuries or loss of life reported.
