During the week of March 10th – 17th officers responded to 102 calls for service.
On March 11th 2025 police entered into an investigation regarding historical intimate partner violence (IPV). The male party was arrested and charged with spousal assault, uttering threats, and careless use of a firearm. He will be seen by the Ontario Court of Justice Walkerton at a later date.
On March 14th 2025, police were called to a business on Garafraxa Street for complaints of youth consuming alcohol outside the business. When officers arrived on scene, they were made aware of a sexual assault that occurred inside the business. Officers located the accused at another residence in West Grey and the male was arrested and charged accordingly. The male was held for bail and seen by the Ontario Court of Justice, Walkerton.
